The 23-track collection features the striking original score of How To Be by composer Joe Hastings and the quirky electronic sounds of musician-actor Johnny White, who plays Ronny in the film. A must-have soundtrack for any Pattinson fan, other musical highlights include ‘Old Man’ by Love, ‘Clear Spot’ by elusive genius Captain Beefheart and How To Be fan favourite, the enchanting ‘Hammond Song’ by The Roches. See the new "soundtrack" page on the How To Be website for the full tracklisting.
“Music is extremely important throughout the film and was a part of the screenplay right from the start,” says writer-director Oliver Irving. “I am very pleased with the soundtrack and everyone’s contribution to it — it truly sums up the feeling of the film.”
The soundtrack release date coincides with IFC Festival Direct’s April 29 release of How To Be in the United States. More news on this and releases elsewhere in the world is coming soon! In the meantime, tickets are on sale for the U.S. Tour screenings, which will be attended by cast and crew, and screenings in Singapore and Sydney.

How To Be Premiere In Burbank

No, it is absolutely not true that Los Angeles has a film festival happening, all year long, on every weekday ending in "y" (or weekend day starting with an "s").

It is mostly true, however, that our city has more film festivals than most places, and the Burbank International Film Festival, unspooling through Sunday, March 29 at Woodbury University, has some great flicks, a host of music videos, panels on networking and casting, and a gala hosted by the fabulous Fred Willard.

The festival itself points out that Burbank is the nexus for much of the entertainment created, which is true, so it makes perfect sense to us that it should host a celebration of the final product. Full circle, and all that.
And while there is a cavalcade of shorts and animated offerings and live-action dramas, the flick getting the lion's -- or vampire's? -- share of attention is the LA Premiere of the Brit-y, sweet "How to Be" starring Robert Pattinson of "Twilight" fame. The man's got like a zazillion hits on Google, so we're guessing a few fans might show up for this one. The trailer charms, too.

News & New Screenings

Last month we mentioned that the cast and crew of How To Be would be taking the film on the road in the U.S. this spring, and now we’re thrilled to announce the schedule!

The tour will kick-off on the west coast with Oliver Irving (writer/director) and Joe Hastings (composer) at the Las Vegas International Film Festival on 10 April. Mike Pearce (Nikki) and Johnny White (Ronny) will meet up with them in Florida on 17 April, and together the four will work their way up and around the east coast, bringing the film to festivals and special cinema screenings in cities from Florida to Massachusetts. Festival tickets will be available soon through each festival website, and tickets for special tour screenings can be purchased directly through each theatre beginning this Wednesday 18 March. See below for the full list of U.S. Tour screenings!

Also coming up soon is Asia’s premiere screening of How To Be, which will be shown at the Singapore International Film Festival on 24 April. Tickets for this screening are on sale now . And don’t forget the Australian premiere in Sydney.

We are also pleased to debut a new page on the How To Be website — “Director’s Diary” — where we will post video clips from the cast and crew out on the road with How To Be. First up, check out Oliver’s personal video from the Cinequest Film Festival screening to get the director’s look at the 1000+ person crowd. Thank you to everyone who came out to see How To Be at Cinequest and helped sell-out the festival’s largest venue! Enjoy!
